  1. FLODRAW Update: Version 2.25          June, 1992
  2.  
  3. (This update is provided free to all FLODRAW 2.2 registered 
  4. users.  All other users are urged to register.)
  5.  
  6. It's been well over a year since the release of version 2.2.  
  7. This update is the accumulation of enhancements and fixes to 
  8. problems reported by users.  The update disk contains two 
  9. program files: FLODRAW.EXE (version 2.25) and PLOPCX.EXE 
  10. (version 1.2).  These are the only files that have changed 
  11. with this release.
  12.  
  13. Here is the list of the enhancements and fixes provided in 
  14. version 2.25.
  15.  
  16.     New option to change printer port.  This option was   
  17.     provided for network users.  Only the following printers
  18.     can use this option:  HP Deskjet/LaserJet, Epson FX/MX
  19.     and Star Gemini.  All other printers use LPT1.  If you
  20.     have on of these printers, you can use this option to 
  21.     toggle the printer port between LPT1, LPT2, and LPT3.
  22.     Select F8 (Change Setup Options) at the entry menu, then 
  23.     F (misc. printer options), and F4 (printer port.)
  24.  
  25.     Fix print problem using HP LaserJet with network print 
  26.     spoolers. FLODRAW will now work with most network print 
  27.     spoolers
  28.  
  29.     Fix print problem with HP Deskjet 500.  The HP Deskjet
  30.     500 would sometimes skip lines when using the HP 
  31.     LaserJet printer driver.  A separate printer driver has 
  32.     been added for the HP DeskJet to correct this problem
  33.  
  34.     Fix text display problems when using MS-DOS 5.0 with a 
  35.     different country code (a problem for some European 
  36.     users.)

  38.     Fix problems with the directory display on the entry 
  39.     menu.  This problem was only apparent if you had several 
  40.     hundred files in your directory.

  42.     Fix problem preventing landscape selection when creating 
  43.     a new diagram.  Some users got a help screen instead of 
  44.     landscape selection.
  45.  
  46.     New version of FLOPCX (FLOPCX 1.2) converts FLODRAW 
  47.     files to black and white PCX files to avoid problems 
  48.     importing four color files into some desktop publishing 
  49.     programs.  The two color files have a CGA screen  
  50.     resolution of 640X200.  The four color conversion is   
  51.     still retained as an optional parameter.

  53. The programs on the update disk replace the programs you are 
  54. currently using.  Rename the old programs and use the DOS 
  55. COPY command to copy the new programs to your directory as 
  56. shown below.

  58.     Rename your current version of FLORAW.EXE to FLODRAW.OLD
  59.  
  60.     Rename your current version of FLOPCS.EXE to FLOPCX.OLD
  61.  
  62.     Put the update disk in your floppy drive.

  64.     Use the DOS Copy command to copy the programs to your 
  65. FLODRAW directory.  For example, if your FLODRAW directory 
  66. is on drive C: and the directory is called \FLO, and your 
  67. floppy is in drive A:, your copy commands would look like 
  68. this:

  70.     A>COPY FLODRAW.EXE C:\FLO
  71.     A>COPY FLOPCX.EXE C:\FLO
  72.  
  73. This completes the update.
